Lisa is a licensed clinical social worker in the hospital setting where she helps patients and their families navigate through crisis' ranging from helping family members in making end of life decisions, identifying those who may be victims of abuse so that they may benefit from protective services, and helping those who may need behavioral health care find the treatment that they may need. That's the simple version of it as there is so much more to what she does in her work environment.
I caught Lisa as she was coming home from work and I wanted to capture her professional side. Her job deals with a lot of heavy, emotional situations, but Lisa projects compassion and approachabiltity.
Having captured her serious side, I also wanted to share Lisa's fun side. While her world travels are on temporary hiatus, she's found other pursuits to keep busy, like turning the balcony of her apartment into a garden, delving into culinary adventures and experiments and getting a bike to tool around her beach neighborhood.
